Under the guidance of former law enforcement officers, we are proud to be able to offer a State recognized educational opportunity to any person wishing to take advantage of becoming a State licensed armed, or unarmed, Officer.

 

Diamond Security Institute runs monthly schools to qualify students on both D (unarmed), and G (armed), licenses. These take the form of a twenty four hour course for D, and twenty eight hour course, including range time, for the G qualification. We also perform the classes for the D license continuation course, as stipulated by the State, which entails a further sixteen hour session of classes. This has to be completed no later than one hundred and eighty days after the first course. The G license annual recertification course is also available at Diamond Security Institute, therefore completing all the required educational qualifications needed to perform an Officer’s duties.

Classes are restricted in size, no more than six at a time, so are run on a first come first served basis. All fees are to be paid one week prior to the course being held. Failure to appear will result in the Company reserving the right to retain the course fee.

 

It should be noted that the State charges for the issuance of both D and G licenses. These fees are currently $87.00 for a D license, with an annual renewal of $45.00. Fees for a G license are $154.00, with a fee of $112.00 for annual renewal. These figures are correct as of 12/14/2007.
